I don’t know why I had it in my head, when Lisa asked me over to carve pumpkins with the kids, that we were heading to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. I mean seriously, if I’d really thought about it, I would have known that was highly unlikely. My family has never picked our pumpkins from a pumpkin patch. They always come from the store. I blame my fellow scrappers - online galleries are full of people in pumpkin patches, and my imagination is highly suggestible. I’m pretty sure I even told John that we were going to pick pumpkins. Imagine my surprise when I walked into my sister’s house to see 4 pumpkins lined up on her kitchen table. I had to go back to the car to get my camera, where I’d left it when I thought we’d be heading out.
