Description
I was particularly drawn to this template in the "Fruit-i-ful" set, and was sure that I wanted to use it for this reveal. However, once I decided what photos to use, the page really took on a life of its own! The photo of the man on stilts just begged to be extracted, so then I felt I needed to extract another photo to match it on the other side. Also, I knew I wanted bright, vibrant colours to balance the stilt-man's outrageous outfit, and also set the stage for a fun town carnival day.
When working on a double page spread, whether in paper or digital, I find that you really need to think of it as a single page, though twice as wide as you would normally do. This helps you unite the page together more easily.
At the Crofton Carnival, my boys and I walked in the parade that started the day, along with DS#1's school. I was a marshall for the school's group, hence my fluorescent vest! The theme was history, and my son, Tommy, dressed as a WW2 air-raid warden!
