Description
When I read that The Everglades was #9 on the list of places in the world to visit before they're gone forever, I knew we had to make that a "must see" attraction when my college roommate came to visit the week before last. This is the best time of year too, when it is dry, to see lots of alligators and a host of different species of birds. At Royal Palm, a short drive from the southeast entrance to the park, there is a park ranger led guided walking tour at 10:30 on the "Anhinga Trail", which is the location where I took these photos.

Made with papers and elements from the newest Hot Flash Designs kit, "Breathless". I did quite a bit of "tweaking", as I call it, to get the look I wanted, using using numerous digi techniques.
I am not reluctant to "tweak" the photos as well. The original vivid colors of Jeanne's and also of my shirt were real eye-grabbers--I didn't want them to "steal the show", so I toned them down a bit.
Rather than list, or attempt to describe all I did, I made another version by swapping in the original print papers (sans enhancements) and by turning off the many layer effects, even the simple "drop-shadows". I also showed the photos without the color tweaking of the clothing. If you click between the two versions you can easily see what a little PhotoShop "magic" can produce.
